Established in 2026, KAIĀULU RESPONSE UNIT is a firefighter-led disaster relief organization. We do not replace the fire service or other 911 responders. Instead, we step in after the initial emergency to continue supporting community members who still need help. Our teams handle a wide range of recovery tasks, including cutting trees that block access or pose safety risks, removing water through manual and mechanical methods, temporarily keeping rain out of homes with tarping, clearing debris, and taking on other essential jobs that help families and neighborhoods recover.
